This is a summary of WCA’s COVID safety practices as they apply to you, the patient.
WCA is following the official policies of CDC, OHA, and OSHA to direct our response to the Covid-19 pandemic.
You are encouraged, but no longer required, to wear a mask in the clinic as of April 3, 2023.

Scheduling & Payment
We now have a self-pay option. If you prefer to pay in person, continue to do so.
If you are able to schedule your appointment online, please do. If you are able to pay for your appointment ahead of time using our new contactless payment option, you can do so here.
We know that online options don’t work for everybody, but they help us a lot!
You will find hand sanitizer available when you arrive and throughout the clinic. Feel free to use it!
Treatment Room
All acupuncturists will wash/disinfect their hands in between treating patients and touching surfaces.
All WCA clinics use industrial-strength air purification technology.
Please keep talking to a minimum. If you want to bring in a written note describing your symptoms for your acupuncturist to read, that would be fine.
Please wear layers to help us manage the number of blankets we need to wash. Also, windows may be open to increase air flow so please dress to keep yourself warm if that’s an issue for you.
We’re sorry, we CANNOT treat you at WCA if:
- You have had a fever in the last 24 hours of 100°F or above.
- You have had any NEW respiratory or flu symptoms, sore throat, or shortness of breath.
- You have been in contact with anyone in the last 10 days who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 or has coronavirus-type symptoms.
This safety plan is based on our research and on current guidance from the Oregon Health Authority (we actually called them and talked through our procedures, if anybody’s wondering). COVID-19 represents a rapidly evolving situation and our procedures may change based on new information.
Thank you for your understanding and patience!
In solidarity,
WCA staff
